How To Manage Contacts

The Contacts tab of the Dashboard is where all subscriber data lives. This tab allows businesses to view and filter subscriber data and edit individual contacts.

Searching, Viewing, Editing and Deleting Contacts From A Browser

Searching for a contact From A Browser

  1. Navigate to the Contacts page by clicking the Contacts icon on the left side of the page.

  2. Using the search bar at the top of the Contacts page, type in the subscriber's name or email address and click "enter."

  3. Click on the contact’s row of interest to expand the profile.

Editing Contact Information From A Browser

Please refer subscribers to the Account Portal to update their contact information.

Deleting a Contact From A Browser

To delete a contact:

  1. Navigate to their contact profile

  2. Select the three vertical dots near the contact name.

  3. Click "Delete 1 contact."

Filtering Contacts From A Browser

To filter within the Contacts tab:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts tab.

  2. Click the “Filter” button to the right of the search bar at the top of the page.

  3. Select applicable filters.

Downloading Contact Data From A Browser

In addition to searching for individual contacts and filtering, a CSV of all data can be downloaded.

  1. Navigate to the Contacts page by clicking “Contacts” to the right of Audience.

  2. Using the search bar at the top of the Contacts page, type in the subscriber's name or email address and click "enter."

  3. Click on the contact’s row of interest to expand the profile.

Editing Contact Information in the iOS App

Please refer subscribers to the Account Portal to update their contact information.

Deleting a Contact in the iOS App

To delete a contact:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts page by clicking “Contacts” to the right of Audience.

  2. Click on the contact to open the profile page.

  3. Once in the profile page, select the three vertical dots in the upper right hand corner.

  4. Click "Delete contact."

Filtering Contacts in the iOS App

To filter within the Contacts tab:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts page by clicking “Contacts” to the right of Audience.

  2. Click the “Filter” button bellow the search bar at the top of the page.

  3. Select applicable filters.

  4. Click “Apply Filters”.

Downloading Contact Data in the iOS App

Data download is not available within the iOS app and must be done from a browser (see above).


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Why am I receiving a message when trying to update a contact's email address?

    • If your contact has their login associated with multiple creators and/or publishers that also use Hype, you cannot update their email address. However, the contact can do this on their own through their Gadget.

  • How do I reset a contact's password?

    • You cannot reset a contact's password, but you can log them out by navigating to the vertical three buttons to the right of their name on their contact profile and selecting "Log user out." For a contact to reset their password, they will want to do this directly through their Gadget widget. You can read more here: Logging in.
