How to Manage Subscriber Access

Hype allows for businesses to extend or grant free access for a subscriber on a case-by-case basis so that subscribers may be given access to view a tier or subscription for free for a set time frame.

Free Access is different from a Free Trial.

Free Access is granted and managed by the business and will not automatically convert to a paid subscription. Free access can be canceled, changed, or extended by a business at any time.

A free trial is set up by a business, and managed by Stripe. Free trials will automatically convert to paid subscriptions and can not be changed, canceled, ot extended at any time.

Extending Subscriber Access From A Browser

  1. Navigate to the Contacts page using the left side bar menu.

  2. Find and select the contact to edit.

    Please Note: Each contact Free Access is edited for must be completed individually. This action can not be done in bulk.

  3. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the Membership box.

  4. Select from the Modify or Revoke Membership options and follow the prompts to finalize the details.

Extending Subscriber Access From the iOS App

Please Note: In the iOS app, free access is referred to as "Free Membership". Free Memberships can only be granted to contacts that do not have an existing membership.

  1. Navigate to the Contacts section, locate to the right of the Audience Graph.

  2. Find and select the contact to edit.

  3. Select the membership type, and the end date, or the duration for the free access.

  4. Click "Save Changes". The selected contact will now have free access to the selected membership until the selected end date.
